2012 was another exciting year for the Bazaar. After a busy season we are now taking a rest to recuperate and restock for 2013. We will do our best to make the coming season another interesting experience in Manotick Station.
Thank you, to all our wonderful customers and suppliers, who have supported us so well over the years. We hope to see you again this fall.
And a special thanks to all who donated to our charities in October and November. Over the course of the sale we were able to collect the following:
- Hot Coffee sales by Chris Tessier and his family contributed $1,845 for the construction of three homes by Habitat for Humanity in Esteli, Nicaragua
- 15 large boxes of food were donated to the Shepherds of Good Hope
- Cider and pumpkin donations for MSF/Doctor's Without Borders totaled of $4,034.53, this amount was matched by the owners of the Bazaar. A total of $8,069.06 was given to MSF.
Customers of the Bazaar may have noted a large number of bicycle oriented products over the years. Yes, we like cycling! This year the Bazaar is supporting a new project in Nicaragua. We have helped fund the set up of a Bike share program in the village of Sabana Grande in rural Nicaragua. More information can be found here.
We hope everyone has a wonderful winter and summer, we look forward to seeing you all this fall in Manotick Station.
